Hello all!
It has been a very busy month of May. Once the weather gets warm, I am nowhere to be found. Me and my family are big outdoorsy people, so we are always fishing, camping or boating. I dont do much crafting or computer time in the summer months... so bear with me until the winter :)
Another thing hubby and I have been doing is couponing. We started about 3 wks ago and have saved over a 1000.00 already! We spent maybe 200-300 at the most. And for beginners, I dont think thats bad! We started with zero coupons, so I am proud of what we have accomplished so far.
I have been posting videos to my you-tube channel and have lots more to add as well on my savings and how I do it. You can find my channel by clicking the "Twlight" blinkie in the top right of my blog.
As some of you may know, my hubby has been out of work since Jan. 2010. He has had 6 surgeries and been on workers comp. Well, today, he is released to go back to work, however, there is no work, so he will be laid off... bad thing is, since he hasnt work 20 wks prior to being laid off, he is not eligible to collect unemployment.... ut oh... I dont know what we are going to do... we will have to live on my small disability check for now... not that comp paid him much... it was less than a 1/4 of his salary... but now, without that coming in, we are in a mess! So say prayers we can do something with unemployment, or he finds work!!! I love having him home with me, but we need money to survive... I have found that you cant live on love alone... LOL.

My first art journal attempt

Ok, so here it is... todays challenge was to trace your hands and do something with it. I always wanted to try art journaling... I am a big Julie Fei-Fan Balzer fan and just love what she does. As you see, I am no Julie... LOL. The first mistake was using a household permanent marker on the words... OOOPPPS... the 2nd mistake was the rest of it... LOL.. But hey, I tried something new, it is my first piece of watercolor art... and I will save it so when I get better I can look back and see where I started.

The truth about me- cleaning out my closet

So, yesterday was my 43rd birthday- I spent most of it in bed as I was up the night before cleaning out my bathroom closet. At 7am Monday I realized I was still up, and the birds started to sing and the sun started to come up- I love that moment... I love to hear the birds, I love the sun, I love cool breezes on my face... God is good, he gave us such beauty- its up to us if we see it or not.
So, another year older- age doesnt bother me. I didnt freak when I turned 30 or fear turning 40... its part of life. But the eve before my 43rd birthday I got a revalation... I guess I should start with ten years ago... I had spine/neck surgery. I had two fusions at C4-5 and C5-6. It left me crippled. For a few years I tried to get on with my life and then finally after the struggles I gave up. I spent 5 years in bed, wouldnt leave my house, became agoraphobic (fear of leaving house/going out) and have severe anxiety attacks. I gained over 100 pounds and totally let myself go. I used to be alive, beautiful, the "doer"... and then one day, one instant, it was all over- I just laid there waiting to die. A few years ago, I was forced to move to PA from NY cause my house is in foreclosure and we were told there was a sale date- well, they lied... so for 6 months me and my kids were in PA and my husband stayed in NY cause he couldnt find work in PA. After the 6 months, and the NY house not foreclosing, me and the kids moved back to NY. We are still in the house- I dont know how, its been almost 4 years in foreclosure. But, I am not going to question it. So... my husband has been out of work for 1 1/2 years and we live on a few dollars a month I get from disability- we went from living middle class comfortable (well, paycheck to paycheck, but still able to get a few little extras) to having nothing. This year has been tough- no holidays at all- we didnt have a Thanksgiving dinner, or a Christmas, and Easter and my birthday came and went... But... my beautiful 18 yo daughter, who works 2 jobs and goes to school full time went out and got her 15 yo brother a bunch of stuff for an Easter basket and brought home a dozen eggs from her boyfriends and hid them for him. That is the best gift I could ever have... and no matter what goes wrong in my life- my kids are so right! I couldnt be prouder of my babies... and more pleased with how they are growing up. Its been hard on them and my husband with me so depressed and lifeless all those years. My husband is not the most understanding patient man... he has put me through hell... but I cant blame him, as it takes two. When he was working I spent money like it was free- he busted his hump and I took every dime and shopped on line every day... he resents me so much and I cant blame him. I put us in this financial ruin because I couldnt be strong and fight for my health... I just gave up and shopping became my out- my heroin. I look at him now, and see what a good man he is and how I have broken him and wish I could take it back... but I cant... To this day, he caters to me, not with a smile of course, out of obiligation... cause I have so let myself go that I can barely move anymore.
Also, through-out the years, I had a lot of losses- the pain was too hard to bear- to hard to face- 26 years ago, April 10th 1985- I lost by soul mate- my best friend- he was 13 days away from turning 17, I was 15 days away- he passed of Hodkins disease (cancer) at 16 yo's old. To this day, I ache for him. It changed my life. It changed the month that is my and his birthday. Then Jan. 1st 2000 I lost my grandmother- the woman who raised me- from a stroke. My grandfather- who was my best pal died when I was 17- and no one told me :( my father is a crack addict and he wasnt talking to me (the many times he walked out on me) and so he told the family not to tell me or he wouldnt go to the funeral. SO it was months later I found out. I still dont have closure from that. Then my sister in law passed away and was buried on my birthday 3 years ago. She was 39, left behind 2 small boys. She had ovarian cancer that was found while having a c-section with her 2nd child. A very dear friend of our family- a soul mate to my mom- a wonder woman- one day she found a lump in her breast-a few months later she died- on my moms wedding anniversay. So quick- just like that- life changes. And I ask you- if your life changed in one moment- would you be happy with what you have said to others?- what you have left on others?- what you have done for yourself?--- well I am now 43 and I choose life. I choose to get off my ass and help myself. I choose to stop the pity party I have been living and take one day at a time to put myself back together. I WILL get out of bed every day. I will work on healing my broken body, soul, heart, self... I am an artist- a little glue and a lot of embellishing- I will re-create myself! I will one day look in the mirror and see myself again.
So, on the eve of my 43rd birthday, I cleaned out my bathroom closet, and in there, I found me.

Everyone has a story- this is mine.

Four more days of the challenge.

My latest projects for the 31 day challenge I am in. I had to create a library pocket, playing card, rosette, and make a bottle animal. This is what I did.

Above: I hand made the paper rosette after failing miserably with the Tim Holtz die. I even went the extra length to make the edges decorative... AND THEN... I put the deco edges on the inside of the flower which is covered up by the center piece!!! I am so dumb... LOL!! But this was my first flower, and after struggling with them for 30 plus minutes, I was glad to be done with it! I made it in leftover Disney paper and put it on a mini album page.

Below: I just hand cut a piece of paper, used some of Tims stain and inks and some stamps and shimmerz and wa-la. I am going to add this to my Disney pages too... I think it fits :) I love the saying... " A mans home is his castle, until the queen arrives." So true!!!

Above: Here is my bottle animal. He is a ZEBRASS. Part zebra, part donkey. I used the leftover paper from the library pocket, cause I thought it was so colorful for him. It brought him to life :) He's so cute!! But what to do with it now??? hmmmm, not sure.

Below: So, the paper is UGGGGGLLLLLYYYYY... but... it is from the Disney paper stack and I do want to use all of it... so I thought I would make a pocket with it. Its ok... I will put some journaling and a picture on the tag, and call it an embellishment!

Some things I made for a group challenge

I am in a 31 day challenge for a group I am in. These are some things I have made. One was a tag sketch. I used Tim stuff. I even used the paper that comes in his packaging to write my "things I adore" words strips on. The other was a bookmark sketch. I had to make a Twilight one, as my favorite books to read are the Twilight series. The paper is from DCWV... and Edward is playing the piano in the photo.

Tim Holtz grid blocks.... really do work!!!

So, I was very hesitant in buying the grid blocks from Tim Holtz. Not that I ever stray away from anything Tim... but I have a ton of blocks already! Well, I found them real cheap on ebay and am so glad I bought them!!! Here is the proof.... so if you ever were reluctant... hope this changes your mind!

Well, now its official! I have used every part of the configuration boxes that I used for making my Disney clock. These were the last two boxes I had left, but the first idea I had when I saw those little boxes. I just new I had to make them! They are really little, they just look big in the picture. The gold box is about 3" high and the silver one is about 2". I cant get a good shot, the metal reflects too much, so I hope you can get the idea.

First I painted the boxes, one gold- one silver. (above)

Then I sprayed some Lindys Stamp Gang moon shadow spray onto a piece of paper and dabbed it on the boxes to create a marbled look. (below)

I picked the stamps I wanted... I think they might be from I Brake For Stamps, but I am not 100% on that. I stamped one on silver paper with distress ink. The other one I wound up stamping and embossing with silver embossing powder and cutting it out. That one was on gold paper.

I knew that I wanted one of them to have a corset. I dont sew... but I did okay with this one. I used a piece of flour sack, copper eyelets, and silver metallic embrod. thread to lace it up.

I used some double sided thin metal sheets and put them on adhesive back paper for support. I used 2 different stampin up punches to punch out the arms and legs. I attached them with jump rings and foam dots.

I wanted the legs from one of the boxes to dangle so I took 2 T-bar pins, cut them down (thank you hubby for doing that for me!) and wired it up to the bottom of the box. The legs slipped right over it. I also put the corset around a foam block and pinned it on the back.

Here is the silver box. I cut out the head, and put a piece of copper metal behind it. I cut wings out from a Nestie die and added 2 metalic flower stickers to the hands. I love the Medusa style hair! That looks like me in the morning!!! (no, really, it does...) She is silver and copper.

I think I am in love with her! Look at that face!!! Silver and Gold... dragon fly wings... cigar label belt.. wrapped in wire.... what more could I ask for???

I had a busy day... Disney clock... day 4 (3 wks later.. lol)

I worked on my clock today too. So that would be a layout, my glue caddy, and the clock & mini album for the clock!!! Whew... tired now! So... I did some work to the bottom of the clock... I dont have anything that really will go in a shadow box, so I used 2 pins I got from Disney and 2 key chains of mickeys head dangling down. I added my pics and a few embellishments to the album (couldnt add much cause it cant be thicker than the box, so its mostly just pictures) and put it in the box.

Again, this is inspired by Laura Denison from http://www.followingthepapertrail.blogspot.com/ She had made a GORGEOUS vintage clock for Tim Holtz for the 2011 CHA. I saw it and fell in love!!! I am not going to tell how I made this as it is not my design and I am sure Laura will share as soon as all the materials are out for sale to the public. Mine does differ from hers, hers is much much much better... I made my version. Go check out her blog for details for her upcoming ustream classes, kits, and patterns. She is AMAZING... you wont be disappointed!!! So a big shout out to Laura for inspiring me to finally start using all the stuff I have collected, for thinking outside the box (with a box.. lol) and for sharing your most admirable talents!!! Now, onto the pictures of my work of the day.... just note that the clock face isnt here yet... its on pre-order... so when it gets here I can hopefully finish it! Cause as you will see below, they are still in pieces :)

What is it you ask???? Its....

It is.... a glue caddy made with my left over configuration box pieces that I am not using in my clock. I had all these left over pieces and thought.. hmmm.. I have all these different types of glue... foam glue, tacky glue, paper glue, jewel glue, glitter glue, diamond glaze, etc... so now, they are all out in arms reach for me to grab so I dont have to dig through my huge basket of glues! This keeps all my favorites right there! I covered the front, outer two sides, and inside bottom with some paper scraps and waaa-laaaa... I love it!!!! I left the back undone... where I am going to keep it, it wont be seen.

I have two more boxes left over... I am going to use those for something else in the near future! Cant wait to share that one with you!

I tried something new....

I had to make a specific titled and sketched layout for a group... sooooo, I have been a big Julie Fei-Fan Balzer fan for awhile now and recently found her on Prima and her blog... so I wanted to try her style of water colors and doodling. Its plain, cause that is what the sketch called for... but I am proud of myself for trying something new, as I never go outside my comfort zone. These are pictures of my hair through-out the years. You can tell by the colors of the pictures how old they are... lol... I am actually aging another year this month... ut oh... time to update my profile soon :) and maybe my hairstyle :) Hugs to all!! Okay... I am totally star struck!!! Larua from followingthepapertrail.blogspot.com commented on my disney clock day 3 post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am in awe!!! She is the most talented person out there and the one person who inspires all my work!!! She is the person who has made the clock originally and inspired me to try one of my own! Of course, it will never be like hers and I cant wait until she demo's the one she made!! Her talent is above words and the time she puts into sharing it is beyond! If you have not heard of her... which I doubt... then you must check out her blog, her ustream channel, and her website. Disney Clock- day 3

I spent all day working on a mini album that I created with paper bags... took me FOREVER to figure out how I was going to construct it... and guess what... IT DIDNT FIT IN THE CLOCK BASE!!!! UGH! So, I had to start all over again, and created a smaller simpler paper bag mini. These are my own creations. I am so proud of how the first one turned out. I didnt embellish or finish them, I had enough for today. But here are pictures of my progress so far. This is the second mini I had to make. I am no where near done with it... I just got the cover, back, and inside pages put together... not done with the binding, embellishing, or tags for inside the paper bag pages. This is the mini I worked hours on! It took me about 3 hours to figure out how to fold, cut, attach, bind, etc... and I really like how I did it... but... it doesnt fit... so this will just become a regular mini album of our Disney trip... Lord knows I am going to need tons of albums... 3 wks worth of pictures! This uses 2 paper bags and has 4 pockets, you could have 7 pockets, but I made it to go inside the clock base... now that it is done and I didnt know it wouldnt fit, it is too late to add more pockets. But it has tons of real estate for pictures! Each pocket holds 2 tags, and much more can fit in them!

Okay... so here are some close ups of the clock parts.... I have gotten a lot of comments about it being to red or to silver... its neither...

This shows 5 boxes from Tim Holtzs configuration box. There is a tiny bit of the 6th box showing at the top, but I wont discuss that one for now. The main middle large square box is going to be where the clock goes on. It is made up of the 2 pcs. that come with this box... both sides have acetate covers and you can look in one side out the back. The back has donald and daisy peeking through. The inside of the box has all the disney characters lining the sides, top and bottom. Then there are 2 small boxes on each side. The are adorned with Mickey and Minnie which I made from the cricut cart "Mickey and Friends" (daisy & donald and goofy pictured below are all made from that cartridge and took me about 4 hours to piece together!!!) The large middle box has silver foil tape on the outer edges and Tim's corner pieces on each corner as well. Inside the Mickey and Minnie box is the Castle from the Magic Kingdom.

Here is the top of the clock which has goofy falling off the top of the clock. I made him from the cricut cart named above. The front of that piece will have a saying that is shown below.

Full shot of the top piece of the clock. It is painted black with irridescent medium over it. I wanted the clock itself not to be the focus, I wanted the Disney characters to be the main focus.

Here is the base by itself. I first painted it, added the patterned paper in the back, cut out the dividers and painted them. And finally attached the dividers... not easy!

I layed the clock down flat so you could see that the top middle box is see through. It is not assembled, but I put the boxes where they will go. The bottom section will have doors and a mini album, so you wont see all that red. I made the dividers on the bottom, as the box is originally open.

Here is a shot with the unfinished mini album in its place. Just so you can get an idea.

This is the clock I originally made for the front of the box... but I dont like it at all... I just put it there so you could again get the idea of where the clock face will eventually go.

I cut a large mickey head and was going to put it in the back of box peeking out... but still not sure I want to cover all that space.... It does help donald and daisy stand out more.

And here it is with the mickey head shadow in the back and the clock face... again... its just to show the idea of what it is going to resemble.

Now, I just have to figure out how I want to do the doors. I spent a good time thinking about that today and got nowhere. Until next time....

Work in Progress

I have started my Disney clock, inspired by Laura from following the paper trail. If you can see through all the mess around it... It is not even close to done and nothing is attached yet as far as boxes go. Some of the characters are attached. I just started working on the bottom part... its drying as I type. I am going to add doors and a mini album will fit inside of it. I have to figure out what I am going to do for the clock face on the top part. I made one that is a mickey head, but didnt like it, so I am probably going to wait for Tim's clock die to come out. The boxes themselves are painted black and then I painted them with iridescent medium to give them glimmer, since Disney is a magical place :) Still a lot of work to do. The hardest part is figuring out what to do next. I am not good with decorating, mixing and matching colors, or embellishing, so this is really tough for me. I will post when I am done with it. I just started painting them... this is what is looked like on day one. This is day two: The bottom box I added 2 dividers and a sheet of paper from a mickey paper stack as the background. After the doors and album are added, you wont even see that part. The top has disney characters that I made from the mickey & friends cricut cartridge. It took hours to do those!!!! The donald and daisy are in the back of the box looking through, the front of the box will have a clock on it (a tim holtz sizzix die clock, when it comes out next month).

Fishing Creel

Ok... is this not the cutest thing ever! Again... thanks to Laura from Following the Paper Trail (you can purchase her pattern for this at her etsy store which can be found on her blog... http://www.followingthepapertrail.blogspot.com/) This is a fishing creel box full of goodies! I made this for my hubby for fathers day... so here it is... (click on pictures to make them larger). I covered the outside with paper that I embossed with Tim Holtz "burlap" embossing folder. Added some embellishments and wa-la. I used the designer calendar cricut cartridge for the letters.

The inside... I used hinges for the lid, Laura does it differently.

I made a fishermans ruler, this was not part of Laura's kit... but I had to add it :) My hubby thinks he always gets the BIG one!!! 12 inches =30 inches in man language! There is also a can of worms...

I made about a dozen bobbers and hooked them on a real fishing swivel... these are not part of Laura's design. Just added them for more picture/journal space.

Ok... here are some more completed pages for my fathers day albums. See the post below this one for more pictures. CLICK ON PHOTO'S TO ENLARGE THE PICTURES. I had to have a leather jacket.... I designed this one myself. The idea of the shirt is Laura's from following the paper trail. I did all of the smallest details on these jackets... stitching, studs, buckles, zippers, pockets, and the paper is leather paper by Sizzix. It looks and feels like real leather. The jacket is held close with velcro on the waist strap. The shirt underneath is a white pocket t-shirt and it is completed by a pain of jeans. I made two of these as I want to keep one for myself and I am giving one to my dad for Fathers Day.

I couldnt forget the pj's. Complete with drawstring bottoms.

Here is a mini album I am making for my dad for fathers day. Its not done... here is a page and a half... I just had to show it cause its too darn cute! I got the pattern from Laura from following the paper trail, but I am making them a little different then hers. The first one is a plaid shirt with brown pants. It also has a cream turtleneck. The turtleneck collar is actually part of a tag that goes inside the pocket... each shirt is mounted on a pocket page. When the shirt opens, there is a brown pair of pants... the pants are on the front and back. The pants are also a pocket. I still have to add the belt, loops, and buckle. Inside the shirt will be 2 pockets and tags and also a larger tag inside the pants, both in front and back.

Here is a Golf set- I love the plaid pants!!! It has a green collared shirt underneath (the collar part is the inside tag, as shown in picture below. Complete with tags, belt, buckle, and photo mat on back of page. The shirt lifts up to reveal a photo mat/tag. Isnt this just adorable! Thanks so much Laura for the idea and inspirations!!

This is just adorable and I love it! I am giving it to my middle daughter for her highschool graduation. In it will be a ticket to get her a car.... :) shhhhh, she doesnt know :)

Well hello!! Its been a long time since I have posted. Been very busy and not really into blogging. I have made a couple of neat items I want to share with you all today. This is a pattern that I purchase from Laura from followingthepapertrail.blogspot.com She is amazing and I just love her work!!! So below is a briefcase album I made for my oldest daughter. She just moved out of state and got a new job so I thought this would be perfect for her. The contents are a wallet, calculator, little 4 page booklet, phone in case, file folders, chap/lip stick, and laptop. I added my own items and change some things around from the original pattern, but it mostly is Laura's design. I think it came out really cute and hopefully she can fill it with lots of great pics and put it on her new desk :)

Well, I finally got brave enough to take my picture.. actually I was testing my webcam and figured I would take pics of me. So this is the face behind the videos :) ewwwwww.. lol.

So... the news... why havent I updated my blog in months??? Well.. I moved back to NY!!!! My husband couldnt find work in PA so me and the kids headed back June 1st for what we thought was going to be for the summer, and still with no work for hubby outside of NY, we just finished our last trip with our belongings back to NY. My house is upside down and boxes are everywhere! We arent unpacking yet because we still dont know if we are staying or not. So all my craft stuff is in boxes and dont know when they will be able to come out to play again. I am so lonely for them but am living vicariously through all the other talented wonderful crafters who are so generously sharing their projects on blogs and Yahoo groups!

I USED 3 GEM BRADS TO ADHERE THE SWIVEL ON THE BOTTOM RIGHT CORNER AND ON THE CHIPBOARD TAG, WHICH I USED A RUB ON TO SPELL ESCAPE.
THIS PAGE TOOK SOME THOUGHT AND SEVERAL PIECES OF PAPER BEFORE I FIGURED OUT HOW I WANTED TO DO IT. I STAMPED THE STARS, MUSIC NOTES, FLOURISH, AND SKULL IN WINGS AND THEN USED GOLD EMBOSSING POWDER. I THEN STAMPED THE GUITAR ON BLACK PAPER, USED THE GOLD EP AND CUT IT OUT. IT IS MOUNTED HALF FLAT AND HALF WITH FOAM DOTS. THEN FOR A FINAL TOUCH I ADDED SOME BLACK STAR EYELETS THROUGHOUT THE LEFT SIDE.

Making Swaps

Above is my first altered playing card. I am so not creative! I made the backgroun paper, as I saw paper like this at scrapjazz, but didnt have anything like it. So what's better than making it yourself :) I stamped the word Queen on it and made the center embellishment. And to finish it off, I distressed it with brown ink. LOVE DISTRESSING!

Here are two different Father Day altered paperclips. It's really hard to decorate a paperclip! Especially the smaller ones.

Going to grad some pasta and then back to my projects!

Recipe Cards

I made these cards for a game themed swap. I chose Candyland and the recipe is Chocolate dipped oreo pops. I scanned a picture of the Candyland game, stamped dice on it, heat embossed the dice in white and filled the dots in with black marker. Then I stamped a pawn, cut it out, embossed it with ultra thick embossing powder and pop dotted it on the card. The hardest part was cutting everything out. The paper is 6x12 and folded in half so I had 4 sides to work on. They took awhile to make, but I think they came out ok. I am also including a cute recipe for a Candyland game sheet cake. I will include the recipe here for you.

INGREDIENTS
2 packages (18-1/4 ounces each) cake mix of your choice
Vanilla and chocolate frosting
Green mist food color spray, optional
Assorted decorations: Starburst candies, red Fruit Roll-Up, red coarse sugar, Dots, regular and miniature peanut butter cups, chocolate jimmies, large and small gumdrops, Dum Dum Pops, miniature candy canes, clear and blue rock candy, cake and waffle ice cream cones, multicolored sprinkles, green colored sugar, miniature marshmallows, round peppermints and conversation hearts

DIRECTIONS
Line two 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pans with waxed paper and grease the paper. Prepare cake batter; pour into prepared pans. Bake according to package directions. Cool for 15 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks to cool completely; remove waxed paper.Level tops of cakes; place side by side on a covered board. Frost top and sides of cake with vanilla frosting; mist with food color spray if desired.With Candy Land game board as your guide, form a path using Starburst candies. With vanilla frosting, pipe "Happy Birthday" on candies. With chocolate frosting, make an arrow; pipe "Start" on the arrow with vanilla frosting.For the Mountain/Gumdrop pass, use a red Fruit Roll-Up, red coarse sugar and Dots.For forests, add peanut butter cups topped with piped chocolate frosting, chocolate jimmies, gumdrops, Dum Dum Pops, candy canes and rock candy.For castle, pipe vanilla frosting into ice cream cones. Garnish with Dots and sprinkles.Between the pathways, add green colored sugar, sprinkles, miniature marshmallows, peppermints and conversation hearts. Pipe additional frosting to fill in spaces; top with sprinkles.Pipe vanilla frosting around base of cake; place peppermints around top edge of cake. Yield: 30-40 servings.
Note: This cake is best eaten the day it's prepared. Do not refrigerate

WALMART IS ACROSS THE HIGHWAY FROM THE MALL... AND THERES DENNYS!!! WHOOOOO HOOOO! THERE IS ALSO A FRIENDLYS, TACO BELL, AND APPLEBEES ALL IN THAT ROW BY DENNYS.

ON THE WAY BACK FROM THE ALPACA'S... WAY OFF THE ROAD IS AN AMISH DAIRY FARM.

I TOOK MY KIDS TO SEE ALPACA'S TODAY AND WOW, THEY ARE TRULY AMAZING ANIMALS! I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF AN ALPACA UNTIL MY MOM MOVED TO PA, BUT I NEVER SAW ONE UNTIL TODAY! THEY ARE FROM PERU & CHILI AND ARE OBVIOUSLY FROM THE LLAMA FAMILY. THEY ARE MUCH SMALLER AND GENTLER THAN A LLAMA. THEY ARE NO TALLER THAN THE AVERAGE SIZED PERSON. THE ALPHA MALE WAS A LITTLE TALLER THAN ME, AND I AM 5'5. THEY ARE HERD ANIMALS AND WILL DIE OF A BROKEN HEART IF ALONE! ISN'T THAT SWEET! I KNOW HOW THEY FEEL, I HAVE BEEN AWAY FROM MY HUSBAND FOR A YEAR AND A HALF AND KNOW A BROKEN HEART. THEY ARE VERY SMART ANIMALS AND EVEN KNOW THEIR NAMES, JUST LIKE DOGS. THEY FOLLOW EACH OTHER AROUND, LIKE HOW GIRLS MUST TRAVEL IN PACKS TO THE BATHROOM, ALPACA'S ARE THE SAME WAY. THEY DO NOT LIKE THE HEAT, BUT LOVE THE COLD. THEY ARE SHEARED ONCE A YEAR AND EACH ALPACA MAKES ABOUT 10 ADULT SIZE SWEATERS EACH SHEARING. THEY ARE GOING TO BE THE NEW WOOL/SHEEP INDUSTRY ONE DAY, AS THEY ARE EASIER TO CARE FOR THEN SHEEP, ARE LESS PRONE TO DISEASE, DO LESS DAMAGE TO THE ENVIRONMENT, AND SO ON. THEY LIKE TO GIVE KISSES, AND DONT BITE, AS THEY ONLY HAVE BOTTOM TEETH AND USE THEM AS SCOOPS WHEN YOU HAND FEED THEM. THEY ALMOST HAVE A BUNNY FACE/MOUTH. THEY DO SPIT, BUT USUALLY AT EACH OTHER OVER FOOD OR IF YOU HOLD THEM DOWN AND THEY GET UPSET. OTHER THAN THAT, THEY MAKE GREAT PETS! THEY ARE FAIRLY INEXPENSIVE TO PURCHASE... MALES START AT AROUND 500.00 EACH AND FEMALES AT 3000.00 AND UP. SO FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THE ALPACA, YOU MUST FIND OUT IF THERE ARE ANY IN YOUR AREA AND GO AND LEARN MORE ABOUT THEM. THEY HAVE GREAT PERSONALITIES... Zippered pocket

This pocket can be used on a scrapbook layout or by itself. I used a 9 1/2" zipper, you can use any size and adjust your paper accordingly. You don't even have to use a zipper... however, it is a zippered pocket... lol... but if you dont have zippers, than you can use an eyelet on the top and bottom and string ribbon through it. Let your imagination run wild!

I used my scraps from the step card & Easter card I made the other day to decorate it. It's always good to conserve, re-use, and scrap your scraps!

EASTER'S ON ITS WAY..... SO TODAY, AFTER SEEING THIS ON ANOTHER BLOG, BUT NOT HAVING A TUTORIAL, DECIDED TO TRY IT FOR MY SELF. I ALSO MADE 2 CARDS... AND NOW YOU CAN SEE WHY I AM NOT A CARD MAKER! JUST SO YOU ALL KNOW... I REALLY AM A BEGINNER AT ALL OF THIS STUFF... BUT I ONLY POST WHAT COMES OUT GOOD... I DELETE THE REST.. LOL.

SO, FOR THE BUNNY STEP CARD.... HERE IS THE FACE UP CLOSE. NOTICE THE PLACEMENT OF THE EYES AND CHEEKS/NOSE. THEY ARE OFF CENTER AND FACING RIGHT.

HERE HE IS ALL DONE. ISN'T HE ADORABLE!?!

HERE IS THE CARD ALL PUT TOGETHER. ONE SHOT OF IT STANDING AND ANOTHER OF IT FLAT.

HERE IS A SIDE VIEW TO SEE THE DIFFERENT STEPS IN THE CARD.

HERE IS A RUN DOWN OF THE MEASUREMENTS FOR THE CARD BASE.

1. CUT A PIECE OF PAPER INTO 6X12.

2. FOR THIS NEXT STEP IT DOESN'T MATTER WHICH SIDE YOU DO THIS TO, THE ONLY THING IT WILL DO WILL DETERMINE WHICH SIDE THE BUNNY SITS ON. TURN THE PAPER OVER AND MEASURE IN 2" FROM THE SIDE AND PUT A MARK AT THE TOP AND BOTTOM WITH A PENCIL.

3. NOW FROM THE TOP MEASURE DOWN 3" AND PUT A MARK AND MEASURE UP FROM THE BOTTOM 1" AND PUT A MARK. DO THIS ON THE SIDE WHERE YOU DID STEP #2. NOW WITH A PENCIL, DRAW A LINE FROM THE 3" MARK DOWN TO THE 1" MARK.

4. YOU NOW NEED TO MAKE A CUT ON THAT LINE. SO YOU ARE CUTTIING 2" IN FROM THE SIDE... 3" DOWN FROM THE TOP... AND 1" UP FROM THE BOTTOM.... SO YOU WILL HAVE NOT CUT ANYTHING OFF, ONLY MADE AN 8" SLIT IN YOUR PAPER. IF YOU LOOK AT THE PICTURE ABOVE OF THE SIDE VIEW.... THE SLIT IS WHERE THE BUNNY IS SITTING ON FOLDED IN HALF.

5. NOW YOU NEED TO SCORE YOUR PAPER. TURN YOUR PAPER LONG WAYS (HORIZONTAL) AND IGNORING THE 2" PIECE ON THE BOTTOM, YOU WILL SCORE AT THE 3" MARK, 6" MARK, 8" MARK, 10" MARK, AND 11" MARK. LEAVE YOUR PAPER AS IT IS AND MOVE ON TO STEP 6.

6. NOW SCORE THE SMALL BOTTOM 2" PIECE AT THE 6" MARK ONLY.

7. TURN YOUR PAPER VERTICAL, AND WHERE THE SLIT IS, SCORE ABOVE IT AND BELOW IT- SO YOU WILL BE SCORING THE 2" MARK WHERE YOU DIDN'T CUT.

8. NOW WATCH THE VIDEO TO LEARN HOW TO FOLD IT.... THATS TOO HARD TO TYPE.. LOL. BUT ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS MOUNTAIN AND VALLEY EVERY OTHER FOLD AND MAKE SURE YOU DO IT WHERE THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE PAPER IS SHOWING :0)

BONUS CARD: THIS WAS DONE BY SPONGING YELLOW INK ON THE CARD. THEN I TOOK THE SIZZIX GRASS DIE AND USED THE NEGATIVE SPACE TO INK THE GRASS ON THE CARD IN GREEN. I USED THE POSITIVE TO MASK OVER THE GRASS IN ORDER TO STAMP THE FLOWER STEMS. I THEN USED LIGHT PURPLE AND PINK TO STAMP DIFFERENT FLOWERS ON THE STEMS. I STAMPED THE BUNNY ON A DIFFERENT PAPER, USED A BLENDER PEN WITH THE SAME INKS I USED ON THE FLOWERS AND COLORED PARTS OF HIM IN. THEN I CUT HIM OUT AND FOAM DOTTED HIM ON THE CARD. THE OUTSIDE SAYS, I LOVE EASTER AND THE INSIDE SAYS, ALMOST AS MUCH AS I LOVE YOU. THE STAMPS USED ON THESE CARDS ARE ALL FROM THE ANGEL COMPANY. THE INKS ARE SU & CTMH.

BONUS CARD 2. THIS WAS AN EASY CARD. I JUST INKED WITH YELLOW AND BLACK AROUND THE OUTSIDE OF THE CARD BASE LEAVING THE CENTER WHITE. I STAMPED THE BUNNY ON ANOTHER SHEET OF PAPER. COLORED THE FLOWERS AND GRASS WITH MY BLENDER PEN & INKS. MADE A MASK FOR THE BUNNY BY STAMPING THE SAME IMAGE AGAIN AND COVERING THE BUNNY, I TOOK YELLOW INK AND SPONGED IT OVER THE PAPER. I THEN USED A 3" OVAL PUNCH, CUT OUT THE IMAGE, INKED AROUND IN BLACK AND FOAM DOTTED THAT TO THE CARD. THE FINAL TOUCH WAS THE SENTIMENT... HAPPY EASTER!!

EVERYTHING FROM TODAY... HMMM, I STILL HAVE SOME EGGS LEFT OVER... WHAT'S NEXT????

Thanks to my buddy, Myra... sharing all these wonderful blogs and links this week, I saw a tutorial on using tim holtz alcohol inks to make a safari print background. Came in handy, as my son had to make a postcard for school like he was on a vacation... and where better to be than Africa??? So, here is our postcard :0)
The stamp is an actual stamp with a punch of a stamp that is stamped over it. LOL.

I AM NOT REALLY A COOK, ACTUALLY I HATE TO COOK! AND I DONT MAKE RECIPE CARDS EITHER... HOWEVER, THIS AWESOME LADY FROM THE MOST AMAZING GROUP HAS SUCH GREAT & UNIQUE RECIPE SWAPS THAT I CANT RESIST SOME OF THEM... AND THIS IS FOR A DISNEY MOVIE SWAP. I TOOK THE SPOT OF DUMBO AND AM USING A CIRCUS THEME... MY RECIPE IS FOR CANDY APPLES.

HERE I USED AN APPLE PUNCH AND A SU WINDOW PUNCH TO MAKE THE APPLES. I THEN TOOK A VERSAMARK PAD AND SOME SU EMBOSSING POWDER AND MADE THE APPLES SHINY.

THE BACKS OF THE APPLES HAVE THE INGREDIENTS.... AGAIN USING SU PUNCHES, I WAS ABLE TO FIT THEM PERFECTLY ON THE BACKS.

THIS IS A SIZZIX DIE THAT I PIECED TOGETHER AND ALTERED... USED SOME STICKLES AND A MICKEY HEAD PUNCH CUTTING OFF THE BOTTOMS TO MAKE A HAT FOR DUMBO.

ANOTHER SIZZIX DIE FOR THE TENT. AGAIN PIECED AND STICKLED.

HERE IS THE FINISHED FRONT OF THE CARD. THE APPLE TUCKS AWAY BEHIND THE TENT. THE TENT AND MOON ARE BOTH POP DOTTED TO ADD DIMENSION.

CONTINUING AROUND THE ROOM, WE NOW HAVE WHITE SHELVES WITH FOAM CLING STAMPS, STAMPING SUPPLIES, SU STAMPS, DIE CUTS, CHIP BOARD, AND CLEAR STAMPS (IN THAT RED BIN ON 9X11 LAMINATED SHEETS ON FRONT AND BACK!!!!).

HERE IN THE CENTER OF THE ROOM IS IRIS CARTS FILLED WITH PUNCHES AND WOODEN STAMPS. ON TOP ARE EMBELLISHMENTS AND GLUES.

MY HUSBAND IS STILL IN NY WORKING, THANKS TO THE ECONOMY :( SO THAT IS REALLY TOUGH ON ME TOO. I HAVE BEEN BUSY SETTING UP HOUSE AND TRAVELING TO NY AND HAVING MY KIDS FRIENDS COME TO PA... JUST TO KEEP IN CONTACT. LOTS OF HEALTH THINGS GOING ON, BUT DOCTORS HERE IN PA ARE SO MUCH BETTER THAN NY, SO WE ARE GETTING ANSWERS AND SOLUTIONS! THE AREA HERE IS SO GORGEOUS AND I AM CLOSE TO EVERY STORE AND FOOD PLACE IMAGINABLE! THE MALL IS 1.5 MILES AWAY AND MICHAELS IS .35 MILES AWAY! I HAVE A DENNY'S AND A DQ RIGHT DOWN THE STREET TOO!!! WOOOO HOOOOO! BUT THE BEST PART IS IT DOESNT LOOK LIKE I LIVE THAT CLOSE TO EVERYTHING. MY BACKYARD AND SIDE YARD IS A GOLF COURSE AND ACROSS THE STREET IS FARM AND MOUNTAINS! The craftroom... still a room in progress... but I have been working on it here and there~ You have seen my house in NY.... well, my craftroom there was a whole basement... and now I am trying to fit it all in one bedroom! Its taking awhile to fit & figure out! Plus, hubby wont let me keep my computer in my bedroom anymore, so now I had to fit that in my craftroom too!

More of the room! I really have gotten a lot done... you should of seen it when it was full of boxes! But now its just a matter of putting away and organizing the rest of it. I got a lot of the storage at auctions (they are so fun!! we didnt have auctions in NY!) as most of my storage items from my old craftroom are still in my NY house. So we got all new (old) stuff here.

The Master Bedroom- Yes, I know... its Tarzan... but those of you who know me, know I love the jungle motif and my whole house in NY was safari.... so I am right at home in this room! Its not decorated like a master bedroom... but I love it that way!

This is the longggg hallway that goes to what is the master bedroom, but it is supposed to be a childs room... who better to have it then me! I made the master bedroom my craftroom cause I didnt want to put anything on the walls in this room, as it is custom painted.

Here are the sunroom & cinema room

Sunroom the day we moved in- the furniture pictured is brand new but was already in the house. And yes, get a load of the gorgeous view of the golf course!!! I am on the 11th-13th green.

After I decorated.... the curtains are not all up all the way yet... the room has lots of furniture in it... but its basically just used as a video game room for my son, as his big screen is in there.

The cinema room-

this is the shot you get when you open the door from the kitchen... you see the fireplace (propane, not wood), the bar, and built in on the left wall that holds movies & music. My son collects coca cola stuff, so his collection is displayed on the fireplace. Sorry about the bbq utensils on the bar, was in the middle of still unpacking.

Here is the movie screen... my son is 5'7" and this shows a size comparison of how big the screen is. I think its an 8' screen.

this is a mural that was custom painted... its on the same wall as the fireplace, just down in the seating area.

this was a shot take the day we moved in... its not set up yet... i love the floor... it was made in steps like a real movie theather and under each step it lights up.

Heres another shot standing in front of the screen looking up into the room... the day we moved in, so its empty. The furniture reclines and is sooo comfy!

WELL, 12/1/08 I GOT A CALL FROM THE OWNER OF THE HOUSE IN PA AND THE LEGAL ISSUE WILL BE SETTLED THIS WEEK AND WE WILL BE MOVING IN 12/13!!! VERY EXCITING, HOWEVER, ITS ALSO VERY SAD... MY KIDS ARE HAVING A HARD TIME, AS AM I... THIS HAS BEEN OUR HOME FOR MANY YEARS, MY KIDS GREW UP IN THIS HOUSE... THEIR FRIENDS ARE LIKE SONS & DAUGHTERS TO ME AND ITS GOING TO BE VERY HARD TO LEAVE THEM! BUT IT'S TIME FOR A NEW START, A CHANGE, TIME TO GET OUT OF THIS AREA AS THE CRIME IS GETTING UNBELIEVABLE! 5 MURDERS IN A MATTER OF A WEEK IN MY AREA! TIME TO GO....

WELL, I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MOVING THIS PAST WEEKEND, BUT DUE TO SOME LEGAL ISSUES WITH OUR NEW HOUSE, EVERYTHING IS PUT ON HOLD INDEFINITLY :(

I HAVE BEEN SO SICK WITH THAT NASTY FLU/COLD GOING AROUND AND OF COURSE, IT TURNED INTO A BAD SINUS INFECTION, SO I HAVE BEEN BED RIDDEN FOR A WEEK NOW. I ACTUALLY GOT UP TODAY AND DID A LITTLE PACKING IN MY BASEMENT (THE DREADED STORAGE ROOM..... AHHHHHHHHHHHHH) AND WATCHED A LOT OF TV WITH MY KIDS.

ALL MY CRAFT ITEMS ARE PACKED AND I AM SO BORED AND REALLY GOING THROUGH WITHDRAWALS! BUT I HAVE BEEN A GOOD GIRL AND STOPPED BUYING AND IT FEELS REALLY GOOD TO SAVE MONEY AND PAY MY BILLS :0) I JUST CANT WAIT TO GET SETTLED IN AND BE ABLE TO START CREATING AGAIN. I PLAN ON MAKING A LOT OF ART FOR THE NEW HOUSE AND HAVE BEEN KEEPING A NOTEBOOK WITH IDEAS FOR MY NEW ROOM AND STUFF LIKE THAT.

THESE DRAWERS ARE VERY DEEP AND GO FAR BACKKKKK... AND ARE PACKED 3-6 DEEP WITH STUFF! SOME OF THE CHIPBOARD IN THESE DRAWERS WILL GO ON MY FAUX PEG BOARD WALL... AKA.. WIRE RACKS.

WELL, THATS MOST OF IT... EXCEPT WHATS IN STORAGE... OH BOY.. DOES THAT NEED TO BE ORGANIZED!!! I GUESS I CAN SHOW YOU WHAT THAT AREA LOOKS LIKE TOO! AFTER SEEING MY ROOM, AND SEEING HOW ORGANIZED IT IS (WELL, TO A DEGREE), DONT FALL OVER WHEN YOU SEE MY 2 STORAGE ROOMS! ONE IS A SAUNA AND THE OTHER IS THE DRESSING ROOM BEFORE IT. THE SAUNA IS ABOUT 8x8 AND IS PACKED FLOOR TO CEILING! AND THE OTHER ROOM IS ALMOST AS BAD!

Ribbon Organizer!!! Finally!!!

I have been pondering for the longest time how to store my ribbons! So one day while looking under my bed, I saw these wire racks that are made for underbed storage and never used... so... this is what I did... I have used heavy yarn to string them across and used the tops to store containers of ribbon that didnt have holes in it. I have tons more ribbon, but at least its a start!

I made this video for my mom cause she doesnt believe me how my dog loves to pose for the camera. Whenever he sees the camera he goes nuts and wont rest until I take pictures of him. He was confused cause I was holding the cam and my camera at the same time, so he didnt do his usual thing cause the camera was always on him. But he poses, stays still, and when he sees the flash he will do a different pose and wait for me to take the next picture. Hes such a ham!
You will get a little sea sick, as I was holding the cam... sorry about the horrible video.

So here is my Pug, Otis....

Okay, so after I uploaded the video, we watched it together (me and Otis), and he jumped on my desk to get a closer look, and when the video would say "pose" he would turn to me and pose and wait for me to take more pics of him... so I had to add those to my blog.... Otis said so.. lol.

1/8" = count every 2nd line (1/8, 2/8 would be four lines over, 3/8 would be six lines over and so on.)

1/4"= count every 4th line (1/4 would be 4 lines, 2/4 would be 8 lines or the same as 1/2", and so on)

1/16"= count every line... so 4/16 is the same as 1/4, 8/16 is the same as 1/2, 12/16 is the same as 3/4, and 16/16 is the next inch mark.

WHEN MATTING AN ITEM- DONT FORGET... IF ITS NOT SQUARE (THE SAME SIZE ON ALL FOUR SIDES), YOU HAVE TO DOUBLE THE MEASUREMENT FOR THE WIDTH AND THE HEIGHT... IF IT IS A SQUARE YOU STILL HAVE TO DOUBLE IT, BUT IT WILL BE THE SAME MEASUREMENT ON THE HEIGHT AND WIDTH, SO YOU DONT HAVE TO FIGURE IT OUT TWICE. (IF SOMETHING IS 3X3 AND YOU WANT A 1/8" MAT, YOU WOULD ADD 1/8 + 1/8 WHICH EQUALS 2/8 OR THE SAME AS 1/4"... SO YOU WOULD CUT A SQUARE THAT IS 3 1/4" X 3 1/4"--- SIMPLE ENOUGH) BUT IF IT IS NOT SQUARE YOU WOULD DO THIS: IF SOMETHING IS 3X4 AND YOU WANT A 1/4" MAT, YOU HAVE TO ADD 1/4 + 1/4 TO GET 2/4 OR THE SAME AS 1/2"---- SO YOU WOULD ADD A 1/2" TO EACH MEASUREMENT... Been Sick :(

Sorry I havent posted a new video this week... but the whole family has the flu. Been trying to kick it but everyday brings a new symptom.. lol. I have also been trying to quit smoking and have been a bowl of happy cherries... lol... I am the cranky scrapper now! As soon as I am feeling better I am going to do faux postage and some other great faux videos.

NO, I DON'T KNOW THE FIRST THING ABOUT SEWING! I HAVE 2 MACHINES PLUS A MINI CRAFT ONE AND CAN'T THREAD IT OR SEW IN A STRAIGHT LINE! BUT I LOVE THE LOOK OF STITCHING ON LAYOUTS, CARDS, ETC. SO I HAVE LEARNED TO FAUX SEW. THIS VIDEO SHOWS SEVERAL WAYS TO ACHIEVE THE SEWN LOOK WITHOUT SEWING AND I EVEN ATTEMPT TO DEMONSTRATE ON MY SEW CRAFTY MINI BY PROVO CRAFT. CHIPBOARD- IT WAS PILED IN A BIN AND DRAWER. SO I SORTED IT BY THEMES AND PUT THEM IN THE YELLOW STACKING BINS. I PUT THEM ON THE COUNTER CAUSE MY RAW CHIPBOARD IS ON THE SHELF BY THAT AREA. I PACKED AWAY DUPLICATES.

SHOTS OF THE ROOM ALL DONE! SOME ARE BEFORE I VACCUMED, OTHERS ARE AFTER. THE VACCUM BROKE! I GUESS IT SUCKED UP ONE TOO MANY EYELETS AND BUTTONS! BUT IT FINISHED THE JOB!

I AM SO EXCITED! I GOT SO MUCH DONE TODAY! AND IT DIDN'T TAKE THAT LONG AND WASNT THAT HARD! ONLY A FEW THINGS LEFT AND I AM DONE!

HERE IS MY CRICUT TABLE BEFORE- WHAT A MESS! NOW ITS NEAT & UNDERNEATH HOUSES MY CUTTLEBUG, XRYON DESIGN RUNNER & EXTRA MATS & DIRECTIONS FOR CRICUTS & CUTTLEBUG. THE PICTURES BELOW THAT SHOWS THE SHELF THAT HAD HOMESCHOOLING SUPPLIES ON IT, BUT I CLEARED IT OUT TO WHAT I WILL ONLY NEED FOR THIS YEAR AND PUT MY CARTRIDGES ON THE BOTTOM SHELF, RIGHT NEXT TO THE CRICUTS. LOVING THIS.. CAUSE BEFORE THEY WERE UNDER THE TABLE WHERE THE CRICUTS ARE AND I HAD TO LAY ON THE FLOOR TO FIND ONE!

I SORTED THE BAGGIES BY SIZE MOST USED AND PUT THEM IN 3 PRETTY CONTAINERS. I ALSO CLEANED OUT THE JUNK & MOVED MY CUTTERS TO AN EASIER TO REACH AREA.

NOW THIS AREA WAS TRASHED! IT STILL NEED SOME WORK, BUT I ONLY NEED TO SORT MY CHIPBOARD AND PUT AWAY SOME NEWER EMBELLISHMENTS THAT ARE IN THE LAUNDRY BASKET. AGAIN, CAKE WORK AFTER THE REST I HAVE DONE! LOL. THIS AREA HOUSES MY JEWELRY MAKING ITEMS, MISC EMBELLISHMENTS, QUILLING ITEMS, GOLD LEAFING ITEMS & METAL SHEETS. BUT THERE IS A HUGE IMPROVEMENT FROM BEFORE!

THIS IS ANOTHER DESK AREA THAT IS NEXT TO THE ONE ABOVE. BIG DIFFERENCE FROM BEFORE TO AFTER! THIS HOUSES GEMS, SEQUINS, MISC EMBELLISHMENTS, SANDS & SAND TOOLS, GLITTERS, PEARL X, MICROBEADS, INK PADS, RUBBERSTAMP TOOLS, SPECIALTY GLUES, EMBOSSING POWDERS, ALCHOLOL & WALNUT INKS, LIGHTBOX, BRASS STENCILS & PASTE, AND THE ROLLING CART OF MY STENCILS/TEMPLATES.

THIS IS THE DESK AREA IN THE OTHER HALF OF THE ROOM WHERE ALL THE SHELVING & DRAWER SYSTEMS ARE. THIS AREA HOUSES ALL MY PAINTS, BRUSHES, FOAM PIECES, SCRAP PAPERS, CRAYONS, KID MARKERS, ETC. THE FIRST AFTER PICTURE I PUT MY SCRAP PAPERS ON THE DESK AND THEN MOVED THEM TO THE TOP OF A DRAWER SYSTEM... LIKE IT BETTER LIKE THAT.

THIS IS ONE OF THE SHELVES THAT HAD SOME OF THE BOXES OF RUBBERSTAMPS AND BOXES OF PAGE KITS. AFTER, I MOVED ALL THE RUBBERSTAMPS TO ONE AREA AND THIS NOW HOUSES STICKERS AND THE BOTTOM HAS MY SWAPS/DIE CUTS. ITS NICE TO HAVE THEM ALL IN ONE AREA! AND THERE IS PLENTY OF ROOM IN THE BOXES TO EASILY LOOK THROUGH THEM AND PULL OUT WHAT I NEED.

THESE ARE TWO MORE SHELF SYSTEMS THAT HAD MORE RUBBERSTAMPS AND A BUNCH OF OTHER CRAP. THE AFTER PICTURES SHOW HOW I PUT ALL THE RUBBERSTAMP BOXES ON THESE TWO SHELVES SO THEY ARE ALL TOGETHER IN ONE AREA AS WELL. MUCH EASIER NOW, SO I DONT HAVE TO WALK ON 2 SIDES OF THE ROOM AND SEARCH THROUGH 3 SHELVES TO FIND WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR. THE SHELF WITH THE RIBBONS AND FIBERS NOW ALSO STORE MY PAGE KITS BY THEMES. AGAIN, NICE TO HAVE THEM IN ONE SPOT!

THIS SHELF WAS A HODGE PODGE OF JUNK! NOW SINCE I HAVE SO MUCH SPACE I WAS ABLE TO USE THIS TO PUT MY PAGES IN PROGRESS, WORK COMPLETED, HOW TO'S & TIPS BOXES, SEWING ITEMS (I PACKED UP TONS OF WHAT I WONT USE AND ONLY LEFT OUT A SMALL SEWING BOX, MY MINI MACHINE, HEIDI SWAP IRON, AND BOBBINS), 2 LARGE ALBUM KITS THAT I WANT TO USE TO PUT MY COMPLETED PAGES IN, MY XYRON PCS ( I ORIGINALLY PACKED THIS, BUT TOOK IT OUT OF STORAGE AND LEFT IT IN THE BOX IN CASE I WANT TO USE IT), MY BINDING MACHINE, AND THE BOTTOM SHELF IS KIDS CRAFTS THAT WE USE FROM TIME TO TIME.

THE BEST PART OF ALL IS I HAVE MY WORKSPACE BACK! HERE ARE THE BEFORES AND AFTER OF MY DESK... UGH! BUT NOW, EVERYTHING HAS ITS PLACE AGAIN AND IS SORTED MUCH BETTER THAN BEFORE! I AM THRILLED ABOUT THIS!

SO, AS YOU SEE, I HAVE GOTTEN A LOT DONE IN THE PAST 2 DAYS! I ONLY HAVE A LITTLE BIT LEFT AND THEN JUST A GOOD DUSTING AND VACCUM AND I WILL BE READY TO GO! THANKS SO MUCH TO ALL THAT HAVE HELPED ME, ENCOURAGED ME, ROOTED ME ON, AND ACTUALLY CAME TO SEE MY BLOG! IT HAS BEEN HARD FOR ME TO SHARE MY MESS WITH YOU, AS I AM SUCH A NEAT FREAK AND AM ASHAMED OF HOW I LET THE ROOM GET... BUT I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW THAT ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE...
